Neighbour Gets Married - Pierre Belvedere

One of the neighbors is getting married, and all of the street wants to take a peek in Nicole Laporte's "The Neighbor Gets Married".

Born in Montreal in 1954, Nicole Laporte is currently living in Rigaud, Quebec. From an early age, drawing is part of her daily life. However, it is only in 1980 that she seriously becomes interested in oil painting. Nicole Laporte receives no formal art training, but takes classes with great artists at the studio of painter Marcel Bourbonnais and at Raymonde Lebel's school of painting. For the past few years, she has concentrated her aesthetic research on color and the creation of of familiar scenes often evoking the past and featuring mostly children. Moreover, she draws her inspiration from Quebec winters, her childhood memories and movies, a medium for which she has a particular fondness. Since 2003, she is represented by Multi Art Ltee. Her works have been shown in several galleries across Quebec and also in a few galleries elsewhere in Canada.
