The Pz. IV medium tank was used as the basis for many vehicles, including tank destroyers . In late 1944, a version of the 75-mm PaK 42 L / 70 gun served as the basis for the construction of this tank. The new variant of the vehicle was named JagdPzIV / 70. From August 1944 until March 1945, the Nibelungenwerke company produced 278 vehicles of this type.
Unlike most TDs of its tier, the Jagdpanzer IV is not optimized for long range firing. His guns simply don't have penetration for that purpose. What it has instead is a high rate of fire thanks to its casemate cannon, an excellent one
mobility and a stealthy low profile. It also has a rather discreet frontal armor for its level, which gives it added value.
